8 4 Jaw Chuck for Lathe New

You are looking at a 8 4-Jaw Chuck. I think this is brand new, Im not sure. I do not know the brand of this chuck, I believe it is an import.

The actual outside diameter of the chuck is approximately 7-7/8 inches. The hole in the center is approximately 2.170 inches. The overall length to the end of the adapter plate is approximately 4-1/4 inches. This chuck has an adapter plate on it however it think it needs replaced.

The threads that hold the cam lock studs are not very good so either 3 new holes will need to be drilled and tapped or you could just completely take off this backing plate and put on another one to suit your lathe. There are four mounting screws that mount the mounting plate to the chuck. This chuck could be used for a variety of applications.

I have never tested the accuracy of this chuck, it still needs cleaned. This has been sitting on the shelf for many years and never used.

This has the hardened, reversible one piece jaws and each jaw is independent and can be adjusted on this chuck. I do not have a wrench.

I do not have the cam lock studs for this chuck. What you see in the picture is what it comes with. Be sure to ask questions before purchasing.
