Collet closure assembly for South bend lathe 3c

It fits a 3/4 inch collet pull shaft for 3c collets which is correct for 9 SB. Should also fit a 10K lathe. See photos for size and condition. It has been refinished in early SB gray green paint, bearing is perfect. One photo shows it on my 9 Inch lathe but I can't see how to connect it.

Perhaps an additional linkage part is needed. Again, see photos for specifics, I cannot find any engraved part numbers on it.
